Microsoft Recognizes Intellinet Consultant as One of the Best and Brightest Worldwide

July 20, 2010

Intellinet Corporation, a business technology consulting services firm, announced today that Geoffrey Hiten, a Principal SQL Server consultant, has been named a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for the seventh time in a row. Microsoft MVPs represent a group of exceptional and highly respected individuals from more than 90 countries that serve their local online and offline communities. Out of millions of global technical community members, there are only 4,100 Microsoft MVPs worldwide.

"On and off client engagements, Geoff has worked to help others make the most of technology through conferences, white papers, user groups, podcasts, articles, training curriculum, and blogs," said Michael Lignos, the vice president of consulting operations at Intellinet. "He is passionate about ensuring that our customers truly maximize the business value of their technology investments."

Potential MVPs are nominated by other technical community members, current and former MVPs, and Microsoft personnel who have noted their leadership and their willingness and ability to help others make the most of their Microsoft technology. To receive the Microsoft MVP Award, MVP nominees undergo a rigorous review process. A panel that includes members of the MVP team and Microsoft product groups evaluates each nominee's technical expertise and voluntary community contributions for the past 12 months. The panel considers the quality, quantity, and level of impact of the MVP nominee's contributions. Active MVPs receive the same level of scrutiny as other new candidates each year.
