On Saturday, October 13th, Microsoft and TAG in collaboration with the Data Science and Business Intelligence Society of Atlanta successfully hosted its first Artificial Intelligence Hackathon. Experts from Intellinet, a management consulting and technology services firm, were honored to participate in the event as mentors and judges.
Over 65 data scientists and students participated in the all-day hackathon center around A.I. Teams were presented with two challenges. The first challenge was to create a hack based using a variety of Azure components, including Cognitive Services, CosmosDB, and Azure Search. The second challenge was to build a robust authentication system that uses both facial and voice inputs to verify a user from a set of pre-enrolled user profiles.
“The participation and ingenuity of the hackathon teams that participated exceeded our expectations” said Karim Lalji, Enterprise Data & AI Specialist at Microsoft. “This was a great event for showcasing how Microsoft technologies can address real-world challenges and we grateful for Intellinet’s support and thought leadership during this inaugural event.”
