InspireCIO Leadership Network Launches Collaboration Platform for Members

December 03, 2019

Intellinet, a purpose-driven digital transformation services firm, is honored to partner with the InspireCIO Leadership Network on the launch of its Microsoft Teams-based collaboration platform.

InspireCIO builds member-centric, local professional communities that help CIOs connect with other CIOs facing similar challenges by sharing ideas & best practices. Traditionally connecting members through in-person events, this new platform enables CIOs to engage in substantive group discussions virtually as well as connect with each other on private chat channels to continue conversations or ask specific questions.

Starting with the GeorgiaCIO Leadership Association, InspireCIO's largest chapter, the Intellinet Team conducted workshops with the chapter's leaders to understand the needs and challenges of staying connected to their peers. Intellinet then designed and developed a collaboration platform on Microsoft Teams as well as created and executed a communication and adoption program to ensure members understand and realize its value.

"Having implemented Microsoft Teams at United Way, I was excited to use Teams with my fellow CIOs across other organizations and it has already proven to be an invaluable way to collaborate with fellow members" said Sarah Ming Hsi, CIO of United Way and co-chair of GeorgiaCIO's Teams initiative. "Working with the Intellinet team during the design and implementation has brought immense value and enabled a smooth rollout with our initial pilot group and to the broader membership."

"After participating as a guest in the GeorgiaCIO Team, I was thrilled to bring the InspireCIO Team to our local ChicagoCIO chapter" said Marcio Ribeiro, CIO of Coeur Mining Inc and ChicagoCIO Membership Co-Chair. "The ease of collaboration with my peers through the Microsoft Teams platform is a major benefit of InspireCIO membership and I actively use it to leverage the extensive knowledge of this great CIO community."

Based on the success of GeorgiaCIO, InspireCIO has rolled out additional Teams for its ChicagoCIO chapter and is in the process of launching Teams for BostonCIO, CapitalCIO, TwinCitiesCIO, BayAreaCIO, DallasCIO, and HoustonCIO . This momentum is now opening the door for national cross-chapter collaboration.
